Among the other great head designs from Wishon golf technologies comes the PCF wedge. The new ruling for wedges that is in affect this year has a profound impact on the wedge selection to the average golfer. You can buy and still be legal in every case except for tournaments at the elite level. That means the Wishon models, if purchased this year will be legal for the following years. 2011 will see the new groove rule in new wedges in ALL companies.

Wishon offers the PCF wedge in a satin or platinum finish then adds a wide sole design for ultra fluffy conditions. The unique offering in the PCF design is the score lines. The PCF wedges utilizes many small score lines on a milled face to create a spin that is possibly 1000 rpm’s greater than a similar design using standard grooves. The sole for each category of wedge is different for the individual uses of the particular wedge. The 60 degree wedge had a special grind that is not found on the 56 degree wedge. That means instead or a set of wedges with the same sole design and different loft combinations you can get a set of Wishon wedges that are unique to the particular lofts and your game. Custom fitted wedges with custom fitted designs.

Run don’t walk to you nearest Wishon dealer; get a new/old set of wedges for the New Year. Be legal for less and be more dangerous around the greens

Do you miss your target consistently to one side? Lie angles could be the issue.

Roughly translated, the Lie angle of the golf club is the angle created by the sole of the club and the angle of the shaft from the hosel when the playing position.

An upright lie angle can cause a shot to be directed inside your target line. That would be to the right for right handed golfers and left for lefties. The fact the club has an upright lie angle does not automatically mean you will dig the heel of the club and make the blade shut and thus causing the missed direction. That is more myth than reality. Why? Physically the upright club can make a golfer hit to the inside of the head making for a harsh feel at contact. It also gives a false sense of security when aiming the club. The fact is, when the loft of the club is high the correct lie angle is critical for great direction and contact. Meaning it is important to have lie angles checked for wedges working back to the taller irons.

If the lie angle is flat the direction can by away from the target line. No, the toe dig is not creating the open ball flight. It is causing the same miss alignment to the open side of the golfer and the same harsh feel.

Address position and the dynamics of the swing are the factors affecting the lie angle. That is why, for most golfers, the dynamic check for lie angle is the only real measure. This is due to the changes in posture or attitude of the golfer to the ball in the swing. Case in point, you may have a golf buddy whose club head toe sticks up right very much at an address yet hits the ball right down the middle. If so, lie angle is probably not an issue.

The best way to check is lie angles may need adjusted it to track the misses. Meaning, keep track of which side the ball landed of the intended target line. If you come up with a majority of the landing zones to one side then a lie angle check is needed. If you are also missing the middle of the club face then I suggest a lie angle check for a certified club maker (me).

#1 the Sun Mountain Micro cart has already been improved! What can you improve on a 4 wheel ultra light push cart? Well the folks at Sun Mountain figure we could use a flexible storage located towards the rear of the cart and it can hold a BUNCH of stuff!! This thing is cool. It folds up with the cart and out of the way and provides an actual useful place to put things like extra liquid refreshment, snacks, an extra wind shirt or whatever won’t go in the golf bag.

Second improvement is the adjustable front axle to accept larger bags. This was a real problem for the C-103 model bags and some other tour staff type bags. NOW!!!! With a slight adjustment of the front bolts you can widen the front track and allow the micro cart to be useful for all golf bags. Small storage when folded, large in capacity when in use.

Is a clubhead ahead of the curve. The 915FH is a smaller looking fairway club head with hybrid forgivingness. Innovative in that Wishon offers a 13 and a 16 degree option in addition to 18.5, 21 and 25 degree offerings. You can now go from a three wood to a 5 hybrid without a change in feel or look. The sole design for the 915 FH is made to provide for better contact in the rough or on the fairway. The added weight port allows me to create a hybrid length club or a fairway wood length weapon to suit any golfer’s needs. As you can see the face height is about perfect to be used on or off the deck for just about any shot set up. The sound is solid and the performance even better. We have had great success with the Arthur Extreme shaft (the AXE) as the profile matches the head. The coloring isn’t bad either. Come in to McGolf and take the new 915 tour fairway hybrid for a test ride at the range and see what’s new from our friends as Wishon Golf Technologies.

Bionic glove is the first and only golf glove designed specifically for golfers with arthritis and is the only glove that is approved by the arthritis medical board.

The Bionic glove is made by the Louisville slugger folks, the same people that make batting gloves so you know this golf glove will be durable. Padding is strategically placed in the glove to provide the golf a level of comfortable and control no other glove can provide.

If you are an outdoor person, a gardener or workout nut, Bionic makes a glove specific for these tasks just for you.

Bionic has also introduced a new professional level glove that should be considered by the better golfer.

These gloves come in a variety of sizes for both lefty and righty and various colors for women golfers.

Ask Robin or Myself for help in choosing the best glove for you at McGolf.
